NextiraOne Recognised as Cisco Identity Services Engine Authorised Technology Provider Partner in the UK

Lichfield, 31 January 2013 – To support the expanding role of access control solutions that leverage the intelligence of the network, NextiraOne UK, part of Europe’s leading expert in communications services, has announced today that it has achieved Identity Services Engine (ISE) Authorised Technology Provider (ATP) status from Cisco. The ISE-ATP designation recognises NextiraOne as having fulfilled the training requirements and program prerequisites to sell, deploy and support Cisco ISE products and solutions.

“This is a major achievement and allows us to support our customers with a highly consistent security management offering across their entire corporate networks. This is especially important as we see the need for Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and Cloud-based computing environments growing dramatically,” commented Steven Skakel, Managing Director UK & Ireland at NextiraOne. “Wherever our customers need to allow a range of end devices to access their networks or wherever cloud infrastructures require protection, our expertise in implementing Cisco ISE will be of prime importance.”

The Cisco ISE platform is a comprehensive, next-generation, contextually-based access control solution that offers exceptional visibility and control to ensure a highly secure enterprise and efficiently enforce security policy across an entire distributed network. The Cisco ISE offers authenticated network access, profiling, posture, and guest management along with monitoring, reporting and troubleshooting capabilities on a single physical or virtual appliance. The Cisco ISE enables scalable and flexible enforcement mechanisms leveraging existing identity-aware network infrastructure, and ships on a wide range of physical appliances with different performance settings to address multiple deployment requirements.

The Cisco ATP program is part of the go-to-market strategy for Cisco ISE solutions. The program helps define the knowledge, skills and services that channel partners need to successfully sell, deploy and support ISE solutions.

About Cisco Identity Services Engine and TrustSec Solutions

The Cisco ISE is a policy component of the Cisco TrustSec solution. A Cisco ISE solution can be deployed as an appliance or virtual machine to enforce security policy on all devices that attempt to gain access to network infrastructure. Integrated with the Cisco Prime Network Control System (NCS), Cisco ISE helps manage all devices more securely.

“We are especially delighted to be able to announce this certification success at such an important time during Cisco Live, especially as it follows a number of other Cisco successes, notably our continued high ranking in the Cisco Customer Satisfaction survey. Coupled with our achievement last year of  Cisco Cloud Builder designation and the VMWare Enterprise Partner level accreditation and the launch of Smart VDI, Flexpod and Expresspod, we now have a very powerful offering for our customers in cloud, BYOD, network infrastructure and data centre environments. This complements the unique range of expertise our teams have in working with customers to design, deliver, implement and support solutions that are centred on their individual requirements,” added Steven Skakel.
