NG Bailey’S IT SERVICES DIVISION REPORTS STRONG PERFORMANCE FOR 2013/14
NG Bailey’s IT Services division has announced a strong financial performance for the year to 28 February 2014, reporting sales growth of 8% to £56m.
The division of NG Bailey, which specialises in the design, supply, installation, management and maintenance of voice, data and structured cabling solutions to contracting, enterprise and public sector clients – has bolstered its position in what has been the toughest economic climate for over 70 years.
Bob Dunnett, managing director for the division, offers his view of this result: “Our growth is testament to a number of things.
“Firstly, our strong reputation for excellent delivery. Secondly, the quality of our specialist workforce and thirdly, being part of the NG Bailey Group, which gives clients reassurance in what is an increasingly competitive operating environment.
“The year has also seen us expand our customer base across a greater range of sectors including electronic security and PAT testing, which in turn has given us the opportunity to expand our knowledge, employee base and gather more pace as an IT services supplier of choice.”

NG Bailey IT Services is a subsidiary of NG Bailey Ltd – the UK’s largest independent engineering, IT and facilities services provider. For the year to 28 February 2014, NG Bailey posted an underlying operating profit of £2.1m. However, the group did see a fall in sales of 10%, to £380m for the period. This was largely due to the continued challenges in the traditional building construction sector and the company enforcing a rigorous selectivity process on bidding to avoid ‘buying’ high risk, low margin work – an approach which contributed to the fall in sales volume.
