Agreement represents strong commitment from Motorola and NII Holdings to iDEN technology
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. and RESTON, Va., Oct 27, 2010 /PRNewswire via COMTEX News Network/ — The Motorola Solutions business of Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) and NII Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: NIHD) today announced they have agreed to extend Motorola’s supply of iDEN infrastructure to NII Holdings for three additional years. Extension of this longstanding agreement reflects both companies’ commitment to iDEN technology as a best-in-class system offering, in particular for Push to Talk (PTT) services. This agreement formally extends their contractual relationship through 2014 and covers the supply of hardware, software and services. It also reinforces Motorola’s commitment to continue to invest in the development and support of its iDEN technology and related features.
