On the occasion of of the Vienna Economic Forum under the motto “Economy meets Politics”, today leading European, Austrian and regional personalities discussed at the Viennese headquarters of the A1 Telekom Austria Group – on the example of North Macedonia – how intensified cooperation can positively influence economic and social perspectives.

Thomas Arnoldner, CEO of the A1 Telekom Austria Group, together with Günther Rabensteiner, President of the Vienna Economic Forum, welcomed a high-level delegation on this subject, such as Zoran Zaev, Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia, and Johannes Hahn, EU Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations.

In the view of Thomas Arnoldner, the telecommunications industry in particular, with its infrastructure, offers “new perspectives for North Macedonia” in order to promote competitiveness and future-proofing of the business location, thus creating growth, employment and prosperity: “The digital transformation opens up vast potential for increased efficiency, equal opportunities in society, and the preservation of resources in the interests of people and the environment. After all, it is always an issue of how everyone within their own sphere of influence can provide for even better living conditions for all people and future generations”.
