Not so testing – IDEAL NETWORKS makes Simple work of Sophisticated testing technology with UNIPRO GBIS

As part of a continued commitment to making simple work of sophisticated technology, IDEAL INDUSTRIES NETWORKS has launched UniPRO Gbis, a revolutionary yet extremely easy-to-use tester for all types of G.SHDSL service.

Developed specifically for busy telecom engineers, UniPRO Gbis is designed for the ultimate in ease of use. It can pinpoint common network faults and check servicing performance directly from switch-on with minimal setup.

The innovative tester is set to transform testing in modern telecom environments, comprising a raft of features which will major benefit engineers in their day-to-day practical field applications.  Fundamentally, unlike any other testing tool on the market, UniPRO can test four pairs G.SHDSL.bis with EFM bonding simultaneously. This means users can perform multiple tests rather than having to check each cable individually, making for a much more comprehensive and faster solution.

Added to this, UniPRO Gbis is incredibly simple to operate. From switch-on the tester is ready to go so that any network faults can be found in seconds. All main results are clearly displayed on a large colour home screen for easy interpretation, while at the push of a button users can view a more detailed performance for each pair. As a result, intuitive navigation can be learned in seconds without the need for specialist training, saving businesses valuable time and, in turn, money.

The tester also offers more detailed measurement and can be programmed with acceptable performance targets, providing a simple red/green or pass/fail test feedback. Results can be stored in the tester and simply uploaded to a USB memory stick for analysis and reporting, helping technicians to determine and action any inherent issues in order to maximise productivity.

Practicality is another factor. UniPRO features a highly robust design for longevity, along with a long-life battery so that it will always be ready for work.  Plus, it can be used in the distribution frame, at street cabinets or in the customer’s premises.

Andrew Lane, European marketing manager for IDEAL INDUSTRIES NETWORKS, comments: “Our overriding ethos is providing innovation with a purpose. We want to go beyond needlessly complicated gizmos and provide high-quality, sophisticated solutions which effectively meet all the requirements of the user, developed through an acute understanding of our customers’ needs.

“With this in mind, UniPRO Gbis combines highly advanced technology with real ease-of-use, including simple set-up and fast fault finding, so that virtually no training is required. This results in significant cost savings for businesses by reducing operational expenditure.

“In this time of keen competition, it is even more important for telecom businesses to provide a consistent, first-class customer service. As such, the UniPRO Gbis presents the ideal solution, helping telecomm professionals keep networks up and running while keeping costs down.”
