NSI at Control 2015, 5-8 May in Stuttgart, Germany: Taking CMM to Another Dimension

PARIS, May 4, 2015 – At Control 2015 in Stuttgart/Germany (hall 5, stand 5510), North Star Imaging Europe (NSI, www.4nsi.eu) will introduce a new X-ray test system designed specifically for metrology.  The new X-ray based coordinate measurement machine, the CXMM 50, was developed from the ground up as a metrology system to give the user an unparalleled product development and quality control tool.  Engineered for metrology applications with built in temperature control and vibration isolated granite table, this robust design ensures precise, accurate measurements.

The CXMM 50 is the newest addition to NSI’s standard portfolio of X-ray Computed Tomography systems.  Featuring a 225 kV high power X-ray source with a 2 micron minimum detectability, and fitted with a flat panel DDA detector, this new CT system is intended for the inspection of workpieces up to 11kg with an envelope up to 30 cm x 30 cm.  With a five axis manipulator and adjustable magnification, the CXMM 50 seamlessly provides internal and external dimensional data of complex critical components.

Whether you need to measure the inside of a fuel injector or the coating thickness on a heart valve, the CXMM 50 was designed with the user in mind.  The paired software package gives the user the ability to quickly acquire, process and archive images.  Reconstruct 3D models with ease using NSI’s five-step guided wizard, and save images in multiple non-proprietary formats.
