NTT Communications Hong Kong Financial Data Centre Wins Industry Award For Innovation

The Innovation in the Mega Data-Centre award celebrates the Tier IV-ready data centre’s innovative architecture, milestone achievements and leading-edge facilities.

- Use of highly advanced green technologies to maximize sustainability along with LEED Gold certification
- High energy efficiency design
- Strong security measures with 8 layers of security checkpoints
- Co-location of cable landing station of the ultra-low latency Asia Submarine-cable Express (ASE) and the network node of NTT Communications’ global network for direct access to global networks
- Close proximity to the stock trading venue
FDCTM impressed the judges especially with its first-ever introduction of an innovative modular design for hybrid-tiering in Hong Kong. It allows customers to customize individual data centre modules to various tier levels according to the business needs. Its success and popularity are underscored by the fact that over 90% of Phase One capacity of FDC™ is reserved within half year since it was opened in May 2013.
