OBELISK GROUP SCOOPS PRESTIGIOUS HEALTH AND SAFETY AWARD

Obelisk Group, a leading provider of infrastructure build, network solutions and maintenance services to the telecoms industry as well as a market leader in renewable energy solutions,  has scooped a prestigious national health and safety award at the National Irish Safety Organisation (NISO) awards held recently in Athlone.

Obelisk Group’s health and safety team won the major award for Best Specialist Contractor in Ireland.

Padraig Brady, director of Obelisk Group said: “Health and safety is something we take very seriously within the company and I am delighted that our extremely high standards have been publicly acknowledged.”

He added: “I would like to extend my congratulations to our health and safety team and everyone else in Obelisk Group who helped us win this accolade.”

Obelisk Group employs in excess of two hundred people with a turnover of over €32 million a year. Obelisk Group prides itself on its health and safety procedures, with a near miss reporting system and a blame free culture among the H&S initiatives Obelisk Group carries out.

The Board of Directors lead on ‘buy in’ by all staff members to the Obelisk Group Health and Safety culture.
