Ooredoo empowers women across Oman with new SmartWoman App

Ooredoo has launched a new mobile application toconnect women across the Sultanate tothe world’s leading female voices. The SmartWoman™ app is exclusive to Ooredoo customers with a two month free-trial period and enables women to access rich, dynamic content by expert writers in Arabic and English, network with other subscribers, ask questions and share their ownexperiences on a wide range of topics.All this directly from their smartphone through an easy-to-use interface.

The app features contributions provided by Knowledge Omanfrom local female ambassadors and experts and is part of a global initiative for gender equality and entrepreneurship supported by Qualcomm Wireless Reach™.It is part of the overall SmartWoman™project, supported by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the United Nations entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women.
