Ooredoo Sponsors Entrepreneurship and Innovation Lecture Hosted by the Research Council

Reflecting its growing popularity with Oman’s burgeoning entrepreneurial community, Ooredoo recently sponsored an entrepreneurship and innovation lecture hosted by The Research Council (TRC) at the Ministry of Higher Education auditorium in airport heights. The lecture was delivered by international expert, author, and senior consultant Professor Dr. Paul Iske of the Maastricht University School of Business and Economics in Holland. Many people attended the event, which was held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Abdallah bin Mohammed Al Sarmi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, and included the participation of senior government officials, entrepreneurs, and students from across the Sultanate.
During the lecture, Dr. Paul Iske highlighted the importance of creating an innovation-friendly ecology that was responsive to local and international trends, fostering social harmony in addition to spurring creativity and entrepreneurial excellence. The speaker also detailed how to build research capacity, research networks that facilitate knowledge transfer and stimulate development in all areas.
