“Operators Must Embrace OTT 2.0 to

Transform Next-Generation TV Experiences”

says Tvinci

London, United Kingdom and Santa Clara, California, March 18, 2013 – At the opening of TV Connect and OTTCON 2013, Tvinci, the Pay-OTT platform provider, today announced it will present its OTT 2.0 platform for TV Everywhere, enabling truly personalized social TV on tablets, smartphones, connected TVs, STBs and the web. Tvinci will discuss the latest developments in the OTT TV space, and will highlight the need for operators to implement a paradigm shift in the way they challenge the changing device-landscape and user behavior, to enable real opportunities.

“Operators are facing new challenges in a market that demands much more than the simple ability to deliver video content over-the-top. Monetizing their service remains the holy grail for operators and our platform provides innovative opportunities for monetization and content bundling. We recognize that OTT 2.0 is contributing significantly to the transformation of online video consumption and consumer expectations.  We believe that the challenges of providing an OTT service in 2013 can provide golden opportunities for media companies and operators to embrace OTT 2.0 as part of their strategic value proposition, to encourage consumers to enjoy new viewing experience anywhere, anytime, across any device,” said Ofer Shayo, CEO, Tvinci.

November 2012 forecasts from Informa Telecoms & Media predict that by 2017, the OTT market will be worth $37 billion, and the number of consumers subscribing to OTT services has increased by over 40 percent in just two years.

“As the OTT TV market matures, developing a robust and flexible multi-screen business model will be a key goal for those looking to strongly differentiate themselves from other industry players,” said Ofer Shayo, CEO, Tvinci. “By offering a personalized, next-generation OTT TV service that presents users with enhanced control over how, when and where they interact with their content, operators can provide a relevant and seamless TV experience. We are looking forward to meeting with attendees at TV Connect to discuss the challenges faced by operators branching-out of traditional TV and newcomers in the OTT space, and will highlight how our OTT 2.0 platform answers operators’ immediate need not only for a new OTT video delivery method to connected devices, but also enables a brand new, next-generation TV experience.”

At TV Connect, Tvinci (stand 21) will showcase its fully deployed OTT 2.0 platform, an award winning TV Everywhere solution that supports multiple subtitle and audio languages, enables the monetization of content in any currency and provides offerings at different prices in different territories. Live platform demonstration highlights for 2013 will include:
