Ordamo’s CEO has his eyes set on international growth in wake of pandemic

by Anthony Weaver

12 October 2021 – One year into his appointment, Ordamo CEO, Rupert Gutteridge, is building a team to expand on the multi million pounds of revenue that the order and pay technology has seen generated through its online systems since July 2020. Gutteridge has big plans in play and is guiding the hospitality tech business on the road to international expansion over the next two years.

Rupert Gutteridge, formerly director of sales & marketing at Guestline, the hotel-operations software firm sits on a five-person board alongside chairman, Danny Potter, founder of the Inamo restaurant group. Since his appointment, Gutteridge has used his unrivalled expertise to ensure seamless operator and guest experiences, whilst removing pinch points. He has more than doubled the size of the sales team and appointed Hannah Bailey as director of business development to meet the increased demand and competition as a result of the pandemic.

The most recent appointment sees Stuart Nuttall join the leadership team as chief technology officer. Nuttall joins Ordamo with significant experience drawn from a long history of guiding companies towards optimal digital outlooks and with a passion point of helping SMEs. He was a vital cog in Toptable, which kickstarted the need for technology within the hospitality sector and was eventually bought by Opentable. He also led the integrated push for technology across all hospitality outlets for London’s Olympic Games.

Rupert Gutteridge has said of the appointment:

“I’m excited for Stuart to be joining us at such an important time for Ordamo. We have ambitious plans afoot and adding Stuart’s significant breadth and depth of expertise to our leadership team signals our drive for growth on all levels. His role within our strategy is to support the business’s growth plans; ensuring the feature rich products help solve customer problems and offer the longevity needed to guide us towards international expansion.”

Ordamo has grown rapidly over the past few years, originally providing the ground-breaking technology used at Inamo, the award-winning Asian-fusion restaurant. Today, Ordamo’s platform is used across the UK and has seen hundreds of thousands of orders placed through its web app alone since July 2020 at prestigious outlets such as Warwick University, St Martins Lane Hotel and onboard Grand Central Trains.

Ordamo offers digital menu order and pay technology for restaurants, bars, pubs, cafes and more, which is compatible and easily integrated with a plethora of POS and payment solutions. The platform helps operators to streamline front of house efforts to improve customer service, manage costs, turn tables faster and, ultimately, drive profit. These benefits are vital with the ongoing staffing crisis and as the hospitality industry bounces back from the pandemic.

Ordamo is exhibiting at World Passenger Festival at Beurs van Berlage, Amsterdam, 5 October – 6 October 2021, on stand 30 alongside travel-tech developer, Whoosh. To book an appointment with the team at the show, contact sales@ordamo.com. You can visit the Ordamo website here www.ordamo.com
