Palisade finalises speaker programme for 2012 EMEA User Conference

 

Ghislain Giroux Dufort to address ERM in plenary, followed by wide variety of ‘hands on’ presentations by industry experts

Risk and decision analysis software specialist, Palisade (http://www.palisade.com/) has announced the finalised schedule for its seventh annual EMEA Risk Conference. The event will take place at the Institute of Directors in central London on 18th and 19th April 2012.

 

The plenary session on the first day will be given by risk industry specialist, Ghislain Giroux Dufort, president of consulting firm Baldwin Risk Strategies Inc and a regular presenter at risk management conferences. Dufort will discuss the issue of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), which he defines as a holistic method to identify, evaluate and manage all significant risks a company or organisation may face.

 

As in previous years, a key focus will be ‘real-world’ case studies presented by industry experts, which offer insight into a managing risk and uncertainty in a wide range of business applications. These include cash flow analysis, project risk quantification, pricing, demand forecasting, cost estimation, portfolio optimisation, and environmental liability, with examples of specific presentations as follows:

Attendees will also have the opportunity to attend practical software workshops and training classes, including one-to-one consulting sessions with technical experts from Palisade. In addition, they will be able to explore the new features in Palisade’s @RISK and DecisionTools Suite.
