Zinwave Ltd is named a finalist for Red Herring 100 Europe

Top 100 list plays an important part in identifying innovative DAS technology companies like Zinwave

Zinwave, a global provider of wideband active Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) for in-building wireless coverage, has been named as a finalist for Red Herring 100 Europe. The award is given to the top 100 private technology companies located in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region each year.

Winners will be announced on the final day of the Red Herring Europe Forum taking place in Amsterdam from 8 – 10 April.

Red Herring is a global media company which unites the world’s best high technology innovators, venture investors and business decision makers in a variety of forums: a leading innovation magazine, an online daily technology news service, technology newsletters and major events for technology leaders around the globe. Red Herring provides an insider’s access to the global innovation economy, featuring unparalleled insights on the emerging technologies driving the economy.

Zinwave’s in-building solution (System 3000) is unique because it is the only wideband active DAS on the market globally that is frequency-agnostic. It is an attractive business proposition to building owners and/or operators because it supports multiple services and frequencies between 150MHz and 2700MHz on a single hardware layer. It removes the necessity for multiple system installations to support different services required in an in-building environment.

Zinwave’s System 3000 also eliminates the need for expensive and disruptive upgrades to existing infrastructures to accommodate new services, such as 4G over LTE, making it completely future proof, delivering rapid ROI and providing the in-building industry with lowest total-cost-of-ownership per installation. Zinwave’s active DAS also supports TETRA and Wi-Fi/Wimax services on the same hardware layer.

Editorial staff rigorously evaluated several hundred applications through a careful analysis of financial data and subjective criteria, including quality of management, execution of strategy, and dedication to research and development.

Their lists of top private companies play an important part in identifying new and innovative technology companies and entrepreneurs. Companies like Google, eBay, and Skype were spotted in their early days by Red Herring editors, and touted as leaders that would change the way we live and work.

Says Colin Abrey, President of International Sales, Zinwave; “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for such a prestigious award. Red Herring 100 Awards are widely recognized as one of the industry’s more prestigious recognitions, with up to 1,400 candidates from each continent competing each year.”

Zinwave has recently been identified by ABI research as part of the next-generation of DAS vendors and one of the companies to watch out for as the DAS market evolves.
