Procera Networks Achieves VMware Ready™ Status for Network Functions Virtualization

Greater deployment flexibility and hardware independence achieved with PacketLogic/V and vCloud NFV Platform

Fremont, Calif., February 23, 2016 — Procera Networks, Inc., the global Subscriber Experience company, today announced that PacketLogic/V, its virtualized Traffic Management, Policy & Charging, and Analytics solution, has achieved VMware Ready™ status for Network Functions Virtualization (NFV). This designation indicates that after a detailed validation process, PacketLogic/V has achieved VMware’s highest level of endorsement, and can be found on the VMware Solution Exchange (VSX).

VMware vCloud® NFV™ and Procera’s PacketLogic solution work together, delivering all the benefits related to NFV supported by best-of-breed deep packet inspection (DPI) technology. The proven interoperability between Procera and vCloud NFV demonstrates the availability of robust virtualized solutions that are deployable today. This collaboration enables operators to maximize server utilization, deploy numerous PacketLogic services on one server, and react quickly to their subscribers’ needs with new and differentiated services.

“By using PacketLogic/V with the VMware vCloud NFV platform, our operator, managed service provider, analytics service provider, and vendor customers can take advantage of the cost savings and service agility benefits attributed to virtualization and can do so with the assurance that our virtual offering is backed by VMware’s robust, trusted technology,” said Michael Kay, vice president and general manager, OEM & Channels, Procera Networks.

“We are pleased that Procera Networks and PacketLogic/V qualifies for the VMware Ready™ logo, signifying to customers that it has met specific VMware interoperability standards and works effectively with VMware infrastructure, which can speed time to value within customer environments,” said Howard Hall, senior director, Global Technology Partnering Organization, VMware.
