Procera Networks Unveils Personalized Services Interoperability Lab for Network Operators

Professional Services Team enables customers to test and innovate network offerings

FREMONT, Calif., February 21, 2012 – Procera Networks, Inc. (“Procera”) (NASDAQ: PKT), the intelligent policy enforcement (IPE) company, today announced the availability of its 3GPP Interoperability Laboratory in Malmo, Sweden. The lab provides an environment for Procera’s Professional Services Team to aid its customers to rapidly test new personalized services using the 3GPP PCC Ecosystem, focusing on interaction between PCEF, PCRF and OCS systems. Customers can conduct tests either at their own facilities or in Procera’s lab, where customers can also test the enforcement and charging of the services with actual devices, applications and IPE systems.

“Procera is striving to accelerate the pace of business for 3GPP operators,” said Jon Linden, Chief Strategy Officer of Procera Networks. “The ability to verify signatures and create new Virtual Services in real time adds significant revenue opportunities to mobile operators’ business plans. This expanded degree of customer participation will also enable Procera to innovate new services and business models for our customers as we monitor policy performance and scalability to test the limits of deployments.”

“The biggest challenge that service providers face is to test new services from end-to-end in the PCC ecosystem,” said Torbjorn Ward, CEO of Aptilo Networks. “Procera has invested in the infrastructure and team to enable the PCEF, PCRF and OCS to interact with real devices and applications to verify service enforcement and charging.”

“BroadHop and Procera have successfully completed several joint customer IOTs of our flagship PacketLogic and Quantum Network Suite solutions,” said Ian Campbell, Chief Technology Officer of BroadHop, Inc. “This lab now allows us to fully test and demonstrate to our mutual customers the LTE scalability, performance and exciting new service concepts on the end-user devices their subscribers are using, so they get a clear understanding before deployment of the results they can expect to see.”

“The launch of an Interoperability Laboratory could assist operators to innovate and test policy use cases quickly,” said Mark Darbyshire TIBCO’s CTO for EMEA.  “Customers use interoperability testing to speed-up integration and iron out any challenges. TIBCO’s unique technology integrates with the network and drives relevance in the Event-Enabled Enterprise. TIBCO’s solutions ignite new revenue streams by reaching customers, partners, and employees while they are on the move with real time, contextually relevant mobile services and offers.”

Procera’s 3GPP Interoperability lab offers its users for testing a collection of mobile handsets and data devices, streaming media devices, game consoles, tablets, PSM, PRE, and PIC, as well as remote and local PCRF and OCS equipment. Operator customers can verify that the services they want to offer can be delivered using all available technology while matching the user experience on each device that is targeted for the service. Customers can also be assured that their services will work in a multi-vendor 3GPP environment with rapid testing of real-world traffic from the native devices to verify signatures and policies used for charging and tiered services.

Procera has also joined the 3GPP Global Initiative at the urging of customers in order to assist in shaping the next generation of standards and functionality for intelligent policy enforcement.

Procera Networks will be attending Mobile World Congress in Barcelona from February 27 to March 1, 2012. Please visit them in Hall 2.1, Stand 2.1A39. For more information, see www.proceranetworks.com.
