Big Data demands Big Process: ProcessForum 2012 UK launches results of major survey on business process innovation

Keynote speakers at Software AG’s largest customer event to look at how businesses must equip themselves for all eventualities in an uncertain economic climate

Bracknell, UK, 10 September 2012: This year’s ProcessForum UK will launch the results of a major UK survey which looks at the critical importance of business process excellence in managing big data growth. The event will also focus on why businesses need to respond decisively to new commercial and technology developments, at a time when the economic future remains unsettled and uncertain.

Guest speaker Connie Moore, principal analyst at Forrester, will look ahead to the process-driven business of 2020. Underlining this, a panel session with members of Software AG’s UK and EMEA senior management team will talk about what’s in store for Software AG and why Business Process Excellence is important for businesses moving towards tomorrow’s process-driven world. Other speakers will include senior executives from BT, Centrica and Terracotta.

Mike Slater VP for Software AG UK & Ireland, says: “With the growing impact of Big Data, ProcessForum UK will emphasise how an innovative and collaborative approach to Big Process enables organisations to harness and maximise the value of information held throughout the enterprise for business advantage.

“To successfully manage and benefit from the business insights hidden in Big Data, enterprises must adopt Business Process Excellence practices, ideally incorporating a centralised, open standards, technology-agnostic platform easily tailored to meet the precise needs of each business. With the challenge of big data management high on the agenda of senior executives attending the Forum, the bottom line is clear: the enterprise with the most flexible processes and so can make the quickest and most cost-effective changes, will come out on top.”

ProcessForum UK, the largest single regional event for Software AG customers and prospects, attracts a wide range of business and IT leaders from leading organisations across both the public and private sector.  The one-day event, which is free-of-charge, will provide a stimulating mix of customer case studies and best practice advice, with the afternoon breakout sessions focusing on key issues around innovation, operations and risk.

The Software AG event, one of the highlights of the process management calendar, will take place on 18 September at 200 Aldersgate, St Pauls, London EC1A 4HD (www.etcvenues.co.uk/venues/stpauls)
