Netgem launches two LTE Routers to address Mobile and Fixed access market
Paris, France – February 21, 2013 – Netgem (www.netgem.com), a leader in connected home solutions, today announces the launch of two new LTE routers: QUATTUOR®, a multimode (2G / 3G / 4G Wi-Fi) mobile router with embedded Wi-Fi Offload (PasspointTM compatible) and Wobe, a cost effective, single-mode (LTE) fixed CPE that can be used as an alternative to xDSL deployments.
Commenting on this launch Christophe Aulnette, President of Netgem International, said: “We are very excited to launch two new LTE routers which extend Netgem product portfolio. With the explosion of video consumption, the race for higher and ubiquitous bandwidth is on. QUATTUOR® and Wobe will enable telecom operators to harness the growth of Wireless deployments (Wifi / LTE) while managing and keeping control of the end to end consumer experience.”
Both the QUATTUOR® and Wobe routers embed the latest LTE chipset technology, extend Wi-Fi capabilities (Wi-Fi Offload, Wi-Fi repeater and access point modes) and offer an open customisable software platform that enables telecom operators to add value to their wireless networks (mobile and Wi-Fi) and to better manage the user mobile devices.
A supporter and a member of the Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) since October 2012, Netgem will be demonstrating its products at the WBA stand in Hall 8, Stand 8.1 F3 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
