NXP Showcases Secure Connections for a Smarter World at MWC 2014
NXP demonstrates smart life solutions in the home, in the car, and on the move
Singapore, 24 February 2014 – NXP Semiconductors (MWC Hall 7 Stand 7E30) will be showcasing cutting edge technology for a wide variety of innovative applications at this year’s Mobile World Congress – Europe’s premier technology event. Playing a major role in the evolution of connected technology, NXP will show off a range of applications and services that are enabling secure connections for a smarter world.

– Smart lighting: an LED-lamp that changes colour through NFC-enabled smartcards/mobile phones
– An enhanced version of NXP’s ground-breaking mobile audio solution, using a fridge as a mini sound studio
– “Smart” wireless charging pad designs – bringing together Qi and NFC
– NFC interactions between smartphones and everyday applications, including coffee machine product selection
– Tap an NFC tag at online checkouts – mitigate the risk of cyber-attacks in online transactions
– NXP’s MIFARE mobile ticketing solutions
– Demonstration of NXP’s in-car entertainment, car-to-car and car-to-infrastructure communication solutions

NFC
NFC is a ground-breaking technology that allows enabled devices to respond to the tap of objects.
