Tvinci Brings Multi-Device OTT to Broadcast Asia and CommunicAsia 2013

Demonstrations of platform as deployed for multiple tier 1 telco and TV operators, including MediaCorp in Singapore

Tel Aviv, Israel, June 14th 2013Tvinci, the leading Pay-OTT Platform provider, will be showcasing its fully deployed OTT 2.0 platform at Broadcast Asia and CommunicAsia 2013 (Singapore, June 18-21 2013) showing how it drives personalized social TV services across tablets, smartphones, connected TVs, set-top-boxes and web.

Visitors to BroadcastAsia and CommunicAsia have an opportunity to discuss and view demonstrations of Tvinci’s deployments. Tvinci enables operators and media companies to introduce deploy a multi-screen TV service with an immersive user experience.

In January 2013 Tvinci announced that it is powering Toggle, the cross device TV service launched by MediaCorp, Singapore’s largest media company. The solution for MediaCorp is Tvinci’s first announcement in Asia Pacific as it looks towards expansion in the region, and was deployed in just 4 months from inception.

As well as offering a variety of free ad-based content, premium content on Toggle is available to consumers as a subscription service or as a pay per view service. Toggle is a first for Singapore, enabling MediaCorp to leverage their strong brand and content to create a sophisticated next generation pay TV service. The deployment includes Live, Catch-up and VOD for both local and Hollywood content, and includes an industry first, with a multi-DRM solution deployed for both live and on demand content.

Tvinci also announced a $4.5M investment at the end of 2012 which was earmarked for further research and development, as well as for exploring opportunities in new markets such as Asia. In addition to Tvinci’s established footprint in Europe, the company is now gaining traction in Asia and sees a vast huge potential addressable market, with another announcement in Asia due for release soon.

The success of the Tvinci 0TT 2.0 platform in APAC can be attributed to its ability to support subtitles and dubbing in multiple languages, as well as the ability to create pricing models in different currencies for different territories, making it a good choice for operators looking to enter multiple territories.

“The increase in both the number of online video services and the availability of connected devices, consumers are gaining a real understanding of how their TV experience should feel,” said Adina Eckstein, VP Sales of Tvinci. “The rich feature-set which we offer – including the ability to manage individual end users within a single domain, together with their social networks and personal recommendations and activities – is not something that operators and media companies will find as a native element in the legacy IPTV platforms. Our success over the past 18 months is a result of our emphasis on an immersive and personal user experience, coupled with our record for deploying sophisticated solutions in aggressive time frames, our agility and holistic approach to each project. We look forward to welcoming visitors to Broadcast Asia and CommunicAsia to our booth to demonstrate how we can help them provide a personalized, social TV experience on any device.”
