RED BEE MEDIA TO SUPPLY METADATA FOR AUTOMATED TELEVISION ADVERTISING OFFERING FROM VIDEA IN THE U.S.

Red Bee Media, a leading global media services company, has entered into a multi-year agreement with U.S. based Videa, to supply textual metadata aimed at providing a comprehensive source for programming and ratings estimates for automated TV sales. Both parties believe this partnership will provide significant growth opportunities as data becomes a more important piece of the television sales process.

Videa, a Cox Media Group owned company, is the leading linear automated and programmatic solution for broadcast TV.  As part of their offering Videa enables its platform to use innovative forecasting algorithms which are created through machine learning. To optimize its algorithmic data services offerings, Videa will include textual metadata from Red Bee Media in their next generation system.

“Red Bee Media proved to be the right partner for us and we are looking forward to continue innovating – leveraging this data to make broadcast TV easier to buy and sell.” says Brett Adamczyk, Vice President, Business Development and Strategy, Videa. “Red Bee Media has an extensive supply of analytical data, with years of archived data coverage, which will help us to provide a comprehensive source of truth for programming and ratings estimates.”

Red Bee Media will be providing forward-looking textual scheduling data up to 14 days in advance and 30 days backward as well as archived data from our database covering up to one year of television scheduling data. Videa will be able to use this data to provide network programming changes and algorithmic ratings estimates for automated linear TV sales over Videa’s platform.

“We are looking forward to supporting Videa in their future growth and we are happy that they saw the power and potential in our offering,” says Chris Stark SR, Head of Sales, Red Bee Media North America. Red Bee Media provides full support for any analytical advertising-based platform throughout North America and Europe and this contract is a testament to its strength.”

Red Bee Media supplies metadata services, recommendation technology and exclusive access to IMDb ratings to a wide variety of companies investing in media experiences, including Broadcasters, Studios, Telcos, Cable Companies and Satellite TV providers across the globe. At this years’ NAB Show in Las Vegas, Red Bee Media will showcased their full metadata offering as well as their entire global service portfolio, covering Managed OTT Services, Media Management, Accessibility Services, Distribution and Playout.
