Reverb Networks completes SON customer trial with Tier 1 multi national North African operator
Sterling, VA, June 3, 2014 – Reverb Networks, a developer of customer-centric, value-based SON solutions designed to provide mobile network operators with improved operational and spectral efficiencies, announced today strong performance results of up to a 22% reduction in the Call Drop Rate (CDR) and up to 15% throughput improvement in a recent 3G (UMTS) network trial with the Tier I multinational African mobile network operator.
In one of the trial clusters, Reverb Networks? SON solution has produced improvements in voice traffic increase of 15%, HSDPA data volume increase by 22.6% and a reduction in voice drop call rate of 25%. In critical sectors and critical zones, InteliSON has reduced the HSDPA drop rate up to 23%. The improvements achieved by load balancing have resulted in the increase of the traffic on less loaded neighbor sites by up to 183%, and in the reduction of HSDPA drops by up to 36%.
