Richard Edet appointed Country Senior Officer for Alcatel-Lucent in Nigeria
Alcatel-Lucent today announced the appointment of Richard Edet, effective today, as Country Senior Officer and managing director for Nigeria.

Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) has appointed Richard Edet, as Country Senior Officer and Managing Director for Nigeria. In his new role, which is effective immediately, Mr. Edet will assume overall responsibility for managing day-to-day operations, as well as taking the lead on strategic business directions for Alcatel-Lucent in Nigeria.
Based in Lagos, Mr. Edet will report to Amr K. El-Leithy, president of Alcatel-Lucent’s activities in the Middle East, Africa, Turkey & Azerbaijan.
Commenting on Mr. Edet’s appointment, Mr. El-Leithy said: “I’m very pleased to welcome Richard in his new position in Alcatel-Lucent. Mr. Edet brings to Alcatel-Lucent extensive experience within the IT sector, having previously held key management positions in various IT companies including SAP Africa, Cisco and Microsoft.
