Sea Fibre Networks’ to Attend The Digital Ireland Forum 2012

21th March 2012, Dublin, Ireland – Sea Fibre Networks, owner and operator of Europe’s most advanced subsea telecoms network CeltixConnect, today announce a strategic media partnership with Silicon Republic – Ireland’s leading technology website.  Using Digital 21 as a platform for enabling Ireland’s technology leaders to campaign for the creation of a Digital Ireland, Sea Fibre Networks considers Silicon Republic the perfect medium for marketing Ireland’s lowest latency sub-sea telecommunications network.

On March 23rd, Diane Hodnett, Chief Executive Officer, Sea Fibre Networks, will participate in a panel with industry leading experts to discuss how Ireland develops as an environment for digital services.

Pat Rabbitte, Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, will give the opening address at Silicon Republic’s Digital Ireland Forum in the Convention Centre in Dublin.

The panel will be chaired by Matt Cooper, presenter of The Last Word, Today FM.  Also on the panel is Emer Coleman deputy director of Digital Engagement at Government Digital Services in the UK, Prof Mark Ferguson, DG, Science Foundation Ireland and Jason Ward, Country manager, EMC.

Themes to be explored include: can Ireland be a hub for big data; access to next generation infrastructure; becoming the location of choice for Europe’s Tech Startups and emerging companies; creating an enterprise-friendly culture.
