A Midlands-based telecommunications company has been awarded the prestigious industry quality mark.

Birmingham-based Sipcentric, which services the SME and business start-ups market, has been granted the Internet Telephony Service Providers’

Association (ITSPA) Quality Mark.

Sipcentric are one of only a handful of ITSPA members to have been awarded this accolade. To receive this recognition, Sipcentric had to demonstrate a clear customer service specification and meet ITSPA’s exacting standards.

Charles Chance, Sipcentric Managing Director, commented: “We have worked extremely hard to put together an internet telephony service that is both easy to use and represents the best value around, without compromising on quality.

“Our team is totally committed to providing the best possible experience for our customers and we are delighted to have been formally recognised for this,” said Charles.

Officially launched in December 2004, ITSPA was formed as a trade association to represent UK-based network operators, service providers and other businesses involved with the supply of VoIP (Voice over IP) services to business and residential consumers in the UK and Europe.

ITSPA aims to promote competition and self-regulation, in order to encourage the development of a flourishing and innovative VoIP industry.

“ITSPA aspires to represent the best in the VoIP industry. The aim of the ITSPA Quality Mark is to recognise those members that go the extra mile in ensuring best practice, and we are delighted to be able to recognise Sipcentric as being one of them,” said Phil Reid, ITSPA spokesperson.

About Cipcentric:

Sipcentric was founded by Charles Chance and fellow director Kevin Box, who had worked together at a well-known internet telecoms provider and decided to team up again after identifying a gap in the UK market for a phone service that was tailored specifically for home-based start-ups and entrepreneurs.
