Sitecore Appoints Ahmed Rubaie as Chief Financial Officer

SAN FRANCISCO, March 25, 2014 Sitecore, the global leader in customer experience management software, today announced the appointment of Ahmed Rubaie, a technology veteran, as its Chief Financial Officer. Based in the Bay area, Rubaie will lead the company’s global finances and operations.

With extensive corporate financial and operational experience, Rubaie has played a substantial role in building high-growth and highly profitable global, multi-billion dollar market capitalization companies.

He comes to Sitecore most recently from Fortinet, a leading network security provider, where he was COO and CFO. Prior to that and since 2008, Rubaie was CFO of Ariba, a leading cloud spend management and business e-commerce company with over $400 million revenue that was sold to SAP for $4.3 billion in 2012.

“I’ve admired Ahmed’s abilities to scale businesses and deliver consistent results for years. He brings extensive global operational experience and an impeccable reputation on the street,” said David Yuan, General Partner, Technology Crossover Ventures. “I look forward to utilizing his many talents. Sitecore has the team, the technology and the global reach to be the leader in customer experience management for years to come.”

“Sitecore has a proven track record of cutting edge innovation and its continued substantial growth is testament of the value provided to its customers across the globe,” said Rubaie. “It’s a great time to join the company and help take it to new frontiers.

“The addition of Ahmed to our team is essential for meeting both our short-term and longer-term business and financial objectives,” said Michael Seifert, CEO, Sitecore. “The vast financial, operational and global business management experience he brings to the table will make a significant contribution to Sitecore’s continued growth and success.”
