Sky Selects Colt as Carrier Voice Partner

Colt selected to deliver Sky’s national and international voice traffic

London, 28 November 2013: Sky has selected Colt Technology Services as one of its Carrier partners, for the delivery of  global call termination services. Colt began carrying  voice traffic for Sky in May 2013 and is today responsible for the delivery of millions of minutes per month.

Colt is among the few companies in this space able to deliver extensive UK and European network coverage. This, combined with deep experience in managing interconnections and delivering cost effective termination, makes Colt a trusted partner for Sky.

“Colt is easy to work with and flexible in its approach,” said Joe Moore, Head of Carrier Relations, at Sky.  “Working together we’ve been able to establish a robust network interconnect enabling us to improve the efficiency of our network economics without any compromise on quality.”

Colt  has made a significant investment in developing network infrastructure to carry and facilitate the termination of global voice traffic which is carried across Colt’s secure private IP networks, guaranteeing high quality of service. The breadth of Colt’s network means Sky is able to interconnect at multiple locations, allowing the company to offer a fully resilient service to its customers.

“I am delighted to be working with Sky and our relationship with them demonstrates the strength of our network capability and our global reach,” said François Eloy, Executive Vice President, Colt Communication Services. “ We take pride in making sure that we are delivering an outstanding service for our customers.”
