SOTFBANK ROBOTICS: NAO and Pepper will compete again at the RoboCup 2019

SoftBank Robotics education robots’ stars are participating respectively at the RobocupSoccer and the Robocup@Home

Paris, Monday, June 24th 2019 – SoftBank Robotics announces its participation to the RoboCup (world robotics championship) which will take place this year from the 2nd to the 8th of July in Sydney, Australia.

NAO is the robot selected for the “Standard Platform” soccer league, while Pepper will participate for the third time in the “RoboCup@home” league. University and College teams from all over the world will join together there to compete.

NAO has become the star of the “RoboCupSoccer” where robots operates fully autonomously with no external control. Participants must lead their robots’ team to victory by showcasing their programming skills.

Pepper will show all his capabilities in the field of home assistance in the Robocup@Home where various technological skills will be demonstrated: navigation, doors opening, carrying objects, speech and facial recognition…

SoftBank Robotics also invites visitors to discover and interact with Pepper and NAO on its dedicated booth (Global Stand 3).
