Spirent and NapatechLive 40G Demo at GFirst

ANDOVER, Massachusetts, Aug 2, 2012–Spirent Federal Systems, the leading provider of network, device, and services-testing solutions to the U.S. government and Napatech, the world’s largest vendor of intelligent adapters for network analysis, today announced plans to provide a live 40 GbE demonstration at the upcoming 2012 GFirst conference . The demonstration will feature the Spirent TestCenter with HyperMetrics mX 40G/100G module for full 40 Gbps traffic generation and the Napatech NT40E2-1 intelligent network adapter for 40 Gbps packet capture.

“With the increasing use of cloud computing and virtualization in Federal data centers, there is a lot of interest in efficiently aggregating traffic at 40 Gbps”, stated Erik Norup, Chief Marketing Officer and President, Napatech Inc. “The infrastructure products are now available to support this need requiring efficient solutions to test and monitor 40 Gbps infrastructure. With this demonstration we are showing that we are also ready to support Federal customers in this transition”.

The joint live demonstration will be showcased on the Napatech booth (#24) at the 2012 GFirst conference in Atlanta, GA from the 19th to the 24th of August.

“Both the Spirent TestCenter with Hypermetrics mX 40G/100G module and Napatech NT40E2-1 are award winning products that have been available for more than a year and are deployed in the field today”, said Matt McCook, Broadband Director with Spirent Federal. “Spirent and Napatech provided a series of 40G demonstrations at various shows during 2011 and at GFirst we will be focusing on the needs of the Federal market.”

Spirent Federal will also be exhibiting at GFIRST, demonstrating the full range of Spirent TestCenter capabilities. For more information, visit Spirent Federal at booth 18.
