800 Speakers Descend On Queen Elizabeth Centre 2-3 November 2022

Britain’s ‘Crypto Queen’, Janine Subgang, 24 years, is speaking on a panel at NFT.LONDON about ‘How NFTs Will Revolutionize Creator DAOs’.

One woman leading the charge is Janine Subgang, 24 years, who has a psychology and design background combined with a passion for improving human interaction.

Janine will be speaking on an expert panel about ‘How NFTs Will Revolutionize Creator DAOs’.

She has been fully down the Web3 ‘rabbit hole’ since July 2022.

Janine says “I think, in a couple of years we wont use the word NFT anymore. We will just call it a straight utility. This will be similar to how we used to say: MP3 player, or MP3 song, but now straight we just call it music. We will similarly stop saying NFT Art, or NFT ticketing but just call it Art and Ticket.”

“The revolutionizing part about NFTs and Blockchain for me is the way it allows control and ownership.  Creators, for a long time, have suffered from their work being appropriated, bought for cheap and sold for much, and generally struggled to have a fair and empowered standing next to the distribution channels they need to use to get their message across, from TikTok to art galleries. The power often laid with the plattform, not with the creator. NFTs and DAOs can intercept this, empowering creators, and distributing profits fairly.  There’s so many amazing projects out there.”

As the Head of Governance and Community at the DLT Lounge, in Canary Wharf, Janine has to delicately manage the Decentralised physical workspace on an entire level of a Tower block and a blockchain ecosystem of 50 companies with 200 staff.

The DLT Lounge also combines an educational programme and FriDAO, which Janine Co-founded.

Janine’s just got back from the ‘Tech Oscars’ by WLOUNGE in Berlin, winning the Gen Z category for VitaeGum, the Oxford University start-up which she is Co-founder of and Commercial lead.

She is also an Angel Investor in student start-ups via ASIF Ventures at Amsterdam University, where she studied for her Honours degree in Psychology.

Other Web3 proficient women – also not from tech backgrounds – taking to the stage at NFT.LONDON include:

Violetta Zironi, who is a Music NFT artist.

Emily Faye, a Music NFT artist.

Dr. Lingling Liu, who helps sports embrace blockchain technology

Dr. Emily L. Spratt, Art and Technology Lead/Faculty, Sotheby’s Institute of Art, NY
