·         Leading global  supplier of  premises connectivity and networking solutions for telecom operators, service providers, and industry

·         Suttle brings 100 years of real world experience in wired technologies  to G.hn

Global supplier of premises connectivity and networking solutions, Suttle, has become the latest company to join the HomeGrid Forum, recognizing the power and performance that G.hn technology brings to next generation home networking. Suttle has become HomeGrid Forum’s 12th Promoter Member, a status that allows it to actively participate in driving the strategic direction of the Forum.

G.hn is the ITU-T’s home networking standard that defines networking over any wire – coax, powerline or phone line – with speeds reaching 1 Gbps, creating a powerful, high-performance home networking solution. Systems based on G.hn are the optimum choice for home networking and the small business. The recent addition of multiple input/multiple output (MIMO) capability to the PLC mode will preserve performance under extreme noise conditions. The same standards family also includes the G.hnem energy management specification.

Founded in 1910, Suttle is a leading global supplier of connectivity and networking solutions for telecoms, specializing in premises distribution, connectivity & networking and outside plant configuration equipment. The company is headquartered in Hector, Minnesota, with manufacturing facilities in the USA, Costa Rica and Southeast Asia. Suttle’s broad product portfolio ranges from traditional copper connectivity to fiber management and enclosures, and also includes home networking products. Customers include Telcos in North and South America, the Middle East and Europe.

“Being part of the HomeGrid Forum will allow us to introduce G.hn technology to our portfolio just as the demand for this powerful technology is gaining momentum and systems come to market,” said Arif Ahsan, Sr. Dir of Program Management for Active Product Lines at Suttle.

George Wakileh, VP of Technology and Development at Suttle, added: “We are a global corporation with a local approach, so all our products are engineered for compliance with local requirements and the required Telco specifications. Our customers are now asking for it, so this is the perfect time to become more active and fully support G.hn. Suttle looks forward to helping influence the future of the technology, contributing our knowledge gained over the last century in implementing real-world networks for residential and SOHO applications.”

Matt Theall, President of HomeGrid Forum, said: “We are driven by the dedication and enthusiasm of our members and the experience they offer.  The team from Suttle brings a different perspective and one we are pleased to welcome to the Forum. Their extensive deployment knowledge will bring unique insight to the performance metrics for HomeGrid Forum technologies and certified products.”

Suttle joins a highly engaged team of HomeGrid Forum members dedicated to promoting the benefits of G.hn and creating the platform for the successful adoption of the technology around the globe.
