Swiss Television uses ISOSTEM
Zurich, 10.06.2014 – To produce the news programme on SRF (Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen), the production service provider tpc switzerland ag uses the upmix system ISOSTEM from DSPECIALISTS in order to generate the upmix from stereo to surround 3.0. The main objective is to create a center channel with exceptionally high speech intelligibility.
tpc switzerland ag uses one ISOSTEM Expert and two ISOSTEM Live units. The company intends to use ISOSTEM in additional applications and to buy further ISOSTEM units.
ISOSTEM generates a fully adequate surround sound from stereo in realtime and delivers the original stereo signal in the downmix. The product is available in two hardware versions. The EXPERT version contains the full range of functions and all setting options. Various parameters can be defined individually via a GUI and saved as presets. The Live version is ideal for use in broadcasting. In addition to pre-defined factory presets, presets imported from the Expert version can also be used.
