Taming the Mobile Video Tornado – Mobixell launches Infographic

As we approach 3G’s 10th anniversary, everyone is aware of the “crunch” on the networks with increased mobile data usage (video clips, streaming movies, mobile TV etc). Many believe that new 4G/LTE networks will solve the problem. However, the new networks will result in even greater data usage, which is good news as it means increased revenues. What is important is to manage it so that huge increases in traffic don’t clog up mobile networks or that huge investment in network expansions don’t force operators to sacrifice profitability.

Mobixell’s new infographic shows the recent history of mobile video optimization and highlights some of the technologies that are becoming critical components for mobile Internet services.
