TDC Deploys Appear TV’s XC5000 Series Video Processing Platform for Broadcast and OTT

Oslo, Norway, September 09, 2014 – Appear TV, a leading global provider of next-generation video processing platforms for broadcast and IP television, today announced that TDC, the leading Nordic operator with Pay TV services in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland has chosen the Appear TV XC5000 Video Processing Platform to provide encoding and multiscreen transcoding to upgrade all of its live linear broadcast, including the YouSee cable service, OTT and multiscreen offerings. The Appear TV platform has been delivered, rigorously tested and is now deployed to provide the highest quality picture across 100 linear OTT channels to around 1.2 million TDC subscribers in Denmark and Norway.
