TeamCast’s CTO Gerard Faria
is taking part to the DVB-S2X panel discussion
at the Satshow conference
Washington D.C., March 17, 2015 – Gerard Faria, CTO of TeamCast, the world-renowned leader in digital modulation technologies for Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) and Satellite Transmission, will participate to the DVB-S2X expert panel at the Satellite 2015 conference, on Wednesday, March 18, Room 209AB.
DVB-S2X is an extension of the DVB-S2 specification that provides additional technologies and features. DVB-S2X has been published as ETSI EN 302 307 part 2, with DVB-S2 being part 1. DVB-S2X offers improved performance and features for the core applications of DVB-S2, including Direct to Home (DTH), contribution, VSAT and DSNG.
Gerard is member of the DVB steering board and actively contributed to the preparation of the DVB-S2X standard. TeamCast released its DVB-S2X compliance upgrade for its market leading VYPER Modulator as early as June 2014.
