Tekelec Tier-One Wins in LTE and 3G Networks Spur Industry Recognition
MORRISVILLE, N.C. — November 15, 2010 —Tekelec (NASDAQ: TKLC), the broadband data management company, leads the list of the top-named policy server vendors, according to a survey of global service provider decision-makers by Infonetics Research. Service provider respondents also rated Tekelec’s policy server technology the best in the industry, and gave Tekelec’s policy server technology the highest rating as compared to other suppliers.
The findings are detailed in the Infonetics Research “Policy Server Deployment Strategies: Global Service Provider Survey.” Tekelec’s Camiant Policy Management Solution received high ratings for the second consecutive year. Tekelec also scored favorably on price-to-performance ratio and product roadmap. Tekelec acquired Camiant in May 2010.
Infonetics noted Tekelec’s “several high profile wireless deals over the last year” including policy wins in the Verizon Wireless LTE network and multi-country deals for the 3G networks of Telefónica and another Latin American operator. By the end of 2010, Tekelec’s total global policy deployments will span 44 service providers – including 32 Tier-One providers – across GSM, CDMA, fixed, cable and LTE networks in 26 countries.
