Telco Systems Names New CEO, Itzik Weinstein, Eyes Expansion in 2011

New appointment poises company for major growth in coming months 

MANSFIELD, MA – [dateline] – Telco Systems, a BATM company (LSE: BVC) and provider of multi-service Carrier Ethernet access and demarcation solutions, has named Itzik Weinstein as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), signaling the company’s commitment to expanding and growing its foothold in the telecom industry.

Weinstein brings over 20 years of management experience and a strong track record in the telecommunications and hi-tech industries to Telco Systems. Prior to this recent appointment, Weinstein was President and CEO of ECtel, a provider of revenue management solutions to the telecommunications industry. He has also held senior positions with VocalTec, NetManage, KLA-Tencor Corp., Scitex Corp., and Intel.

The appointment of Weinstein comes on the heels of Telco Systems’ acquisition of ANDA Networks last month and the launch of set of new MPLS and mobile backhaul solutions. Telco Systems’ Carrier Class Ethernet and mobile backhaul platforms that deliver cost-effective MEF-certified Metro Ethernet services over fiber and copper offer a cutting edge solution for Telcos, MSOs, utilities and tier 2 and 3 providers. The company brought to the market a first of its kind end-to-end service management platform allowing service providers to take advantage of emerging standards with an easy-to-use solution.
