Telco Systems Shortlisted for Two Prestigious Carrier Ethernet Awards

Demarcation and Mobile Backhaul Products in Final Consideration

Mansfield, Mass. –October 5, 2011 – Telco Systems, a BATM company (LSE: BVC) and provider of multi-service MPLS and Carrier Ethernet access and aggregation solutions, has been selected as a finalist in two categories for the IIR & MEF Carrier Ethernet EMEA 2011 Awards. Winners of the awards will be named at the Awards Dinner and ceremony at Carrier Ethernet World Congress on October 12, 2011 in Amsterdam. Telco Systems has been shortlisted for the Best Carrier Ethernet Demarcation Product EMEA and Best Carrier Ethernet Mobile Backhaul Product EMEA categories within the IIR Carrier Ethernet Vendor Awards.

Telco Systems T-Marc 300 series is in consideration for the Carrier Ethernet Demarcation Product Award. The T-Marc 300 Series is an intelligent and remotely managed multiport demarcation device which delivers managed converged services (voice, video, data and mobile backhaul) over virtual Ethernet, MPLS/VPLS and IP networks. The T-Marc 300 is one of four products shortlisted for this award. The T-Marc 3208SH is being considered for the Carrier Ethernet Mobile Backhaul Product Award. The T-Marc 3208SH service demarcation is a temperature-hardened (-40C  to +70C), Carrier Ethernet demarcation device that enables service providers and wireless operators to backhaul traffic from multiple 2G, 3G, 4G cell sites over Carrier Ethernet. The T-Marc 3208SH is one of five products shortlisted for this award.

Currently in its 7th year, the Carrier Ethernet World Congress is IIR Telecoms & Technology’s flagship Transmission event attracts the highest echelons of the transmission industry (153 C-Level delegates in 2010). It is the largest conference and exhibition for the Ethernet networking and services industry.
