Open Metro Edge SDN & NFV Solution reduces network complexity and improves customer retention while delivering a wealth of new revenue-generating opportunities

PARIS, France, March 17, 2015 – Telco Systems, the leading provider of innovative SDN & NFV and multi-service Carrier Ethernet 2.0 and MPLS edge solutions, today announced that it will be displaying its industry-leading Open Metro Edge (OME) SDN & NFV expanding portfolio at  MPLS SDN World Congress 2015 in Paris, March 17-20, in Booth 306.

Delivering smooth evolution from Carrier Ethernet 2.0 to SDN and NFV architectures, the Open Metro Edge solution empowers service providers by simultaneously optimizing total cost of ownership and speeding the pace of introduction of new services.  As a modular, full edge solution, each element — demarcation, aggregation, controller — can be deployed separately to perfectly match the needs of individual service providers or it can also be bundled as a complete solution. With OME, service providers can quickly take advantage of new revenue production opportunities, enhanced customer retention capabilities, and simplified network operations.

At the MPLS SDN World Congress, Telco Systems will demonstrate the Open Metro Edge SDN & NFV solution in action featuring:

Telco Systems will be conducting active service assurance demonstrations using the vProbe deployed on the Open Metro Edge. This demo is done jointly with Netrounds, the creators of this innovative and proven software-based solution for active network testing, monitoring and troubleshooting. The vProbe solution allows for agile and elastic deployment on the OME and requires no maintenance as it is delivered as a SaaS solution through the cloud. It helps service providers to deliver assured connectivity
services orchestrated across network domains between physical and virtual service endpoints.

“More than 200 customers and thousands of network engineers are already working with our active service assurance solution,” stated Mats Nordlund, CEO of Netrounds. “We highly encourage service providers to take this opportunity to see it in action as part of the OME solution.”

In addition to visiting the booth and observing the demonstrations, visitors will be able to hear Telco Systems’ Head of Software Solutions Gal Ofel, speak on Friday, March 20th at 8:30 am about “Security Application Transformation in the NFV Era” with a focus on Security-as-a-Service.

Rami Yaron, VP of Strategy & Business Development for Telco Systems, and Co-Chair of the MEF Global Marketing Committee, will be participating in the following MEF sessions:

  • Tuesday, March 17th, 4:35 pm: “Inter Operator LSO: End-to-End connectivity among operators for dynamic services” (Speaker)
  • Tuesday 5:05 pm: “APIs for Orchestration and Automation” (Panelist)
  • Tuesday 5:35 pm: “The New Generation of Stakeholders in the LSO-SDN-NFV Era” (Panel Moderator).
