TeleCommunication Systems’ CEO Elected to the CTIA-The Wireless Association(R) Executive Committee
ANNAPOLIS, MD, Dec 07, 2011 — TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. (TCS) (NASDAQ: TSYS), a world leader in highly reliable and secure mobile communication technology, today announced that Chief Executive Officer, President and Chairman of the Board, Maurice B. Tose, has been elected to the Executive Committee of CTIA-The Wireless Association(R). CTIA is an international nonprofit membership organization that has represented the wireless communications industry since 1984. Mr. Tose will serve his first one-year term as an “Other Supplier” Executive Committee member and board director beginning on January 1, 2012. The Executive Committee is responsible for all corporate governance and management issues of the association, including approval of its annual budget and dues, setting its public policy agenda and appointing members of the Nominating Committee.
Mr. Tose co-founded TCS in 1987, and under his leadership, the company now provides wireless solutions for more than 60 carrier partners around the globe, including all U.S. Tier-1 carriers.
