Jackson, Miss. and Paris, April 7, 2011—Telepak Networks, Inc., has selected Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) to deploy IP/MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching) as their packet-based network to deliver wireless Ethernet backhaul services and advanced IP services to Telepak customers in parts of Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Tennessee. Alcatel-Lucent’s solution will enable Telepak to offer a broad suite of high-quality, reliable and flexible IP-based backhaul services, as well as help the regional service provider meet anticipated future growth requirements.
“At Telepak we are committed to our customers and to maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction,” said Gregg Logan, Telepak Networks, Inc., Vice-President. “Since our customers operate in extremely competitive markets, it’s imperative that we have the ability to enhance our services while keeping operating costs low.”
“Network reliability is of the utmost concern for service providers, whether they be a Tier 1 carrier or regional operators,” said Charles Marsh, Alcatel-Lucent Vice President of Sales for Major Accounts in North America. “Our work with Telepak highlights that Alcatel-Lucent’s solution works equally well with all carriers as we help operators focus on the need for growth and the ever-increasing demand for quality, reliable and flexible IP-based backhaul services.”
