TELES creates additional Convenience on the virtual Telephone System

Control of the TELES virtual telephone system IP Centrex is not only easier: the current

software update also provides more intelligent new functions. For example, mobile

working will become more convenient – and less expensive.

Berlin/Vienna, November 7, 2012. TELES AG Informationstechnologien has approved the Release 4.0 for the TELES IP Centrex solution. This update includes additional convenience functions and improvements in user control. The latest Release links integration of different terminals such as mobile and landline phones (Unified Communications, UC) with telephone control via the computer (Computer Telephony Integration, CTI) including setting up a call, receiving, forwarding and ending calls.

“The new functions provide Carriers with significant benefits in marketing our IP Centrex solution”, says Oliver Olbrich, Chief Operating Officer at TELES. „Business clients and their staff benefit from more convenience, higher productivity and mobility with the latest Release – combined with projectable, lower costs.”

Higher Productivity and Mobility with MobileControl and Mobile Office

The new Release enables staff to communicate with each other from any place, at any time and at optimum cost, irrespective of the terminal selected. “This saves travel costs and costs for conference meetings by third party suppliers, for example“, says Olbrich. “Mobile staff such as sales force staff or staff at their Home Office can access United Communications applications practically everywhere an internet connection is available.“

This means that important calls reach the respective contact person – at any place and at any time. Operation of the landline phone via the computer and control of the virtual telephone system IP Centrex via the App MobileControl provides users with additional convenience functions.

Information regarding attendance can be filed via time schedules so that users are only available by phone at the pre-set times. Calls missed, made and received can be traced via a central caller list.  “Waiting times and delays are avoided as a result of UC services and information on attendance, and response times are reduced“, explains Olbrich.

Market CTI communication systems and Microsoft Lync can now be integrated via the new Call Control Gateway, which has been realized with the aid of the CSTA Protocol (Computer Supported Telecommunications Applications).

For example, access to voice, messaging and groupware solutions is possible via one and the same user interface. And the new Release enables, for the first time, integration of IP telephones of the series snom 700 and Cisco SPA via automatic configuration.

More Convenience at less Cost

The Managed Cloud Services with IP Centrex are a complete communication solutions provided by TELES. The virtual telephone system is provided via the internet from a central server platform and enhances or replaces ancillary phones at peripheral locations. With Cloud Service, Carriers can rent a virtual telephone system (IP Centrex) viable for clients and branding on a hosted, continuously serviced platform. There are no costs for hardware or software. These savings can be passed on as a price benefit to enterprise clients who – as in Cloud Computing – only rent that share of the system which complies with their actual requirements.

Therefore, Carriers and business customers both benefit: Carriers gain time to push forward sales of individual telephone solutions without having to deal with smooth operation and servicing of the system. This work is executed by TELES, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Enterprise customers benefit from a flexible highly available telephone system which exactly fits to their requirements and which can be conveniently controlled via the internet. There is no need for capital-intensive acquisition of a conventional system on site, and no cost for its servicing and the usual commitment to just one terminal manufacturer.

Cloud Services from TELES are designed for small and medium-sized companies – which do not wish to risk high costs for telephony – as well as for large and international enterprise customers looking for a system solution for complex applications which covers all locations and is easy to handle.
