THE GSMA MEETS IN LLEIDA
· Lleida.net will be the host of the GSMA Interconnection Meeting

Madrid, September 14th 2011. Lleida.net, as International Transit Carrier and member of the GSMA, will be the host of the 15th Edition of the Interconnect Working Group (IWG) that will take place in Lleida on November 30th and December 1st 2011. This is the second time that a Spanish city (Madrid 2008) hosts this important International meeting.
At this meeting, the main mobile operators in the world such as O2, Vodafone and Everything Everywhere (UK), T-Mobile and Verizon (USA), SFR and Orange (France), TIM, Wind and Vodafone (Italy), T-Mobile, Vodafone and Telefonica O2 (Germany), MTS (Ukraine and Russia), Personal (Argentina), Movistar, Vodafone, Orange, Yoigo and Lleida.net (Spain), etc., will discuss the Interconnection standards between operators worldwide.
The GSMA Interconnect Working Group (IWG) has overall responsibility for Interconnection matters worldwide and their aim is to improve relations between operators and relations between operators and their clients. The GSMA represents the interests of mobile operators worldwide. Spanning 219 countries, the GSMA unites nearly 800 of the world’s mobile operators, as well as more than 200 companies in the broader mobile ecosystem, including handset makers, software companies, equipment providers, Internet companies, and media and entertainment organisations.
