The SAS Group announces half-year results for BT’s Indirect Partner Sales Channel

The SAS Group, an international provider of IP-based network and managed communications services, has announced new sales of £16.4 million, through BT’s Indirect Partner Sales channel (BT IPS), for the first six months of BT’s fiscal year ending 31 March 2011.

The results include the delivery of £5.04 million in new business contracts for BT voice networks and a further £11.39 million in new sales of wide area networks and private circuits. Overall, the results show a 38 per cent increase in total billings through the BT IPS channel.

“Our relationship with BT is stronger than ever,” said Charles Davis, CEO of the SAS Group. “Over the last six months alone, we have successfully worked with BT to deliver more than 14 cost effective WAN solutions to companies in the UK and internationally. The SAS managed services wrap allows BT customers to not only reduce the cost of network ownership but also increase carrier services levels and network availability and performance for their businesses.”

A recent survey into satisfaction levels, amongst BT customers receiving managed network services from the SAS Group, found that 70 per cent had seen an improvement in their network’s performance and availability since engaging with the SAS Group and over half had seen improvements of more than 50 per cent.

“By working with SAS, BT can increase the range of the solutions it delivers and can also offer advanced service management capabilities to a greater number of customers,” said Davis. “We believe this is a clear demonstration of BT’s agility and responsiveness to a market change and shows its commitment to providing service excellence to all of its customers.”

The SAS Group has been an authorised partner in BT’s IPS channel since 2002.
