TIA 2011: Inside the Network Vision Speakers Include Google, Qwest Technologists

Arlington, Va. – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) has announced the first round of confirmed Vision Keynote Speakers for TIA’s new annual event for the information and communications technology industry – TIA 2011: Inside the Network.

Confirmed speakers include Dr. Pieter Poll, CTO, Qwest, and Dov Zimring, Project Director, Google Alternate Access Team. Google is heavily reliant on the network infrastructure that Qwest and other service providers are continuously deploying. The network must be robust, secure, scalable and reliable, ensuring that the ever-expanding suites of applications and services are smoothly delivered to the global customer base.

Facilitating business and technical conversations about how to plan for the best on the Network – while avoiding the worst – is the mission of TIA 2011: Inside the Network, which will be held May 18-20, 2011, at facilities in the Gaylord Texan Hotel, adjacent to the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport in Grapevine Texas.

TIA 2011 is focused on answering the overarching question: How will the ICT industry manage the increased demand for bandwidth over the next 5-10 years?

“The TIA Vision Keynotes will showcase the new thinking, new business approaches and new customer experiences from broadband connectivity, devices and services,” said TIA President Grant Seiffert. “The goal of these keynotes is to spark new creative ideas for leadership as we innovate for the future.”

The TIA Vision Keynotes are part of the TIA 2011 Summit programming which also includes pre-event specialty workshops and a series of educational sessions focused on M2M, smart devices, SmartGrid, sustainability, mobile backhaul, the regulatory environment and converged networks. Attendees will confront critical business issues facing network operators and technology suppliers.

TIA 2011 also includes an exhibition hall and business forum enabling suppliers and vendors to demo their innovative products, meet business prospects and partners through matchmaking services, and engage in interactive discussions about the future of the Network.

Beginning in April and running through June 2011, TIA 2011 will feature a Digital Marketplace. Opening its virtual doors one month before the live event, the Digital Marketplace will run concurrently through the event and be available on demand for one month afterwards. Leveraging the full power of the Internet, it will feature streaming video, timely blogs, avatars in virtual booths and social networking.
