Tim Krause to become Chief Marketing Officer of Alcatel-Lucent

Paris, December 18, 2013 – Alcatel-Lucent today announced the appointment of Tim Krause as Chief Marketing Officer, effective January 1, 2014.

Tim Krause will report to Michel Combes and will be a member of the Company’s Leadership team.As Chief Marketing Officer, Tim Krause will be responsible for our global marketing efforts as well as external communications.  In this new role, he will also lead our diversification strategy and the development of our business in five key segments:  Cable, Webscale, Large Technical Enterprises, Strategic Industries and Government Driven Broadband Initiatives.

Michel Combes said: “Tim Krause has a deep knowledge of our customer challenges and needs. He is a well-respected professional of our industry and I’m very pleased to welcome him in the Alcatel-Lucent Leadership team that he will nicely complement.”

Tim Krause added: “The Shift Plan has already set the company on the right path to anticipate market trends and customer expectations. From my recent experience as head of the customer team for AT&T, I know first hand that we have invested in the right technologies at the right time. I’m excited about this new opportunity to strengthen the company’s impact in the broader marketplace.”

Most recently, Tim Krause served as Senior Vice President, in charge of the AT&T customer team. He has over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, having held various positions in engineering, product line management, product strategy, and marketing in Alcatel. He led the development of its end-to-end offer in IP video and triple play. He has been a Director of Telecommunications Industry Association and  served as a Director of 2Wire, Inc. Tim Krause holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from William Jewell College and an M.B.A. in Business Management from the University of Dallas.
