A TSF team intervenes in the besieged town of Misrata where the fights between civilians and soldiers are growing. There are no communications in the zone whereas huge needs in telecommunications for NGOs on site are observed.
The team left Benghazi, where since April 20th the TSF satellite connection has been operational for humanitarian organizations, boarding a boat of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and reached Misrata this morning.
TSF technicians are carrying all the satellite equipment needed to install a Vsat antenna in the international NGO Hub created by TSF with the NGOs ACTED and Mercy Corps in Misrata. The aim is to establish a satellite connection to the benefit of the humanitarian organizations working in the area.
