Testing Technologies on Course for Further Success with TTCN-3 Based Test Automation Tools
Berlin, Germany – April 27, 2011 – About 10 years ago TTCN-3 became an international standardized testing language through its endorsement as an ITU-T recommendation.
By now, application of TTCN-3 has been widened beyond telecommunication systems to areas such as the automotive industry, internet protocols, railway signaling, medical systems, and avionics. TTCN-3 has established itself as a global, universal testing language. Numerous companies like Ericsson and Huawei have already migrated to TTCN-3 based test systems. Also standard bodies like 3GPP, the Open Mobile Alliance or the TETRA Association base their testing activities on TTCN-3.
Testing Technologies has been involved in the development of TTCN-3 based test automation tools from day one. Offering powerful tools and solutions, great expertise and an excellent service worldwide Testing Technologies has grown to one of the top TTCN-3 tool providers within the past 10 years.
“It is good to know our company has backed the right horse. Considering the positive trend, we believe that TTCN-3 has the brightest prospects of becoming the number one testing language. TTCN-3 is an internationally standardized test language with a powerful textual syntax supporting all kinds of black-box testing. It was developed at the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) and has established itself as a global, universal testing language.
TTCN-3 is celebrating its 10th anniversary and has grown into a 10 part standard with four extension packages to date. Application of TTCN-3 has been widened beyond telecommunication systems to areas such as the automotive industry, internet protocols, railway signaling, medical systems, and avionics.
There has been witnessed a rapid uptake of the language in Asia – especially in India and China – where already more than 40% of all testing services worldwide are provided today. TTCN-3 has further strengthened its position in standardization and is used increasingly for certification and acceptance testing.
