TTG Targets Growth Down Under

TTG’s Simoco Group businesses will have their largest presence yet at Radio Comms Connect in Australia, paving the way for further growth across the region

DERBY (2 NOVEMBER 2011) – Communications specialist Team Telecom Group (TTG) is strengthening its global profile in the wireless technologies sector with a major presence at Radio Comms Connect 2011 in Melbourne, Australia.

The company, which recently reported international sales up 39% year on year, is targeting further growth across Australasia, the Far East and North America through its Simoco Group radio communications businesses – Team Simoco, based in Derby, UK, and ComGroup, based in Australia.

Radio Comms Connect 2011 (16-17 November) is Australia’s largest event dedicated to radio communications and associated products, services and technologies, with major companies and international experts attending.  Topics under discussion this year include P25, dPMR (digital Private Mobile Radio), DMR (Digital Mobile Radio) and TETRA, with insight into critical communications applied at the Queensland floods, where ComGroup technology was utilised.

Simoco Group’s Jonathan Bunce will also be speaking at the event on the high-profile DMR versus dPMR debate, underlining the company’s reputation within the industry.

Mike Norfield, CEO of TTG, says: “Our global operations have experienced strong growth over the last 12 months, underlining the worldwide respect organisations have not just for our technologies, but also for our people.  With our complementary businesses of Team Simoco and ComGroup we have an unrivalled pool of expertise that is bringing cutting edge radio communications solutions to the market, together with flexibility and support that I believe is unsurpassed.”

Simoco Group is one of the world’s leading radio communications specialists, developing and manufacturing cutting edge PMR, DMR and TETRA products and services for markets including the emergency services, military, public sector, utilities and transport.

“Radio Comms Connect is Australia’s largest wireless event, and Simoco Group is going with its biggest presence yet, reflecting its growing profile on the worldwide stage,” adds Mike.  “Our technologies are already recognised as integral to the operations of organisations ranging from the emergency services to mining companies, and we are now in a position to significantly expand our business across Australasia and the Americas.”

TTG underwent a £32.8m management buy out 18 months ago, and since then has invested significantly in developing new technologies that are driving its global growth – international sales now account for 51% of the Group’s business.

TTG comprises five complementary businesses; radio communications specialists Team Simoco and ComGroup, which form Simoco Group; AirRadio in Middlesex; C&C Technology in Hampshire; and Indigo Telecom Group in South Wales.
