UKFast Shortlisted At DatacenterDynamics Awards
Finalist for innovation within the data centre
Manchester hosting and co-location provider, UKFast, has been shortlisted in a national competition that recognises the best in the data centre industry.
UKFast’s in-house migration group is shortlisted in the ‘Special Assignment Team of the Year’ category at the DataCenterDynamics Awards, highlighting the team’s expertise in the design, construction and management of the company’s expansion into fully-owned and managed data centre space and colocation facilities.
In December, the cloud hosting specialist will open its third data centre project that will take its total space to around 30,000 sq ft, representing an investment of more than £12 million in Trafford Park.
UKFast CEO Lawrence Jones expressed his delight at being a finalist: “It’s fantastic to see the UKFast team acknowledged for their hard work – I see every day how committed and professional they are but recognition at a national level means a lot. Without the incredibly skilled and energetic people at UKFast, we wouldn’t be the proud owners of four data centre facilities and have plans to launch another four over the next couple of years.
“High-density computing is expanding at a rate of knots so we have to plan for the future. Our specialist team has proved they can design and create first-class facilities and our migration team works with precision and care to look after our clients in the best way possible.”
Winners of the 6th Annual DatacenterDynamics EMEA Awards will be announced at a ceremony in London in December.
